Gucci Vump - Sha! Shtil! (LSMitchell remix) - The Return!

A couple of weeks ago I made a post about my Top 10 Summer tunes, and provided a free download of Gucci Vump’s ‘Sha! Shtil!’ remixed by LSMitchell. It’s a great, quirky take on this bizarre brand of Yiddish-sampling techno (I’m calling it Yidno) and we had some awesome feedback on the track, so I thought I would repost it for you guys to check out in case you missed it amongst all the other tracks we posted that day. It’s a full 320kbps, so feel free to play it out.
This version keeps the cool-ass sample but has more of a ‘banger’ to it - so if you’re on the fence about how your crowd might react to playing the original, this version is mainstream enough to play with reckless abandon.

Underworld - Pretty spry for old men!

Visited Portugal a couple of weeks ago and decided to drop by Creamfields 2009 (Algarve Edition). This is not the 3 days extravaganza we’re treated to in England, rather a one night event. This featured Underworld as headliners on the main stage as well as the excellent Junior Boys, and Turbo Records ran a massive tent featuring luminaries such as Proxy, Tiga, Riton and Zombie Nation. I managed to get a pretty sweet recording of ‘Born Slippy’, which you can see below, and let me tell you - you ain’t experienced Riton until you’ve experienced him surrounded by a bunch of sweaty Portuguese guys. (Obrigado!)

Simian Mobile Disco - Audacity of Huge (HD Video!)

Evening chaps. I decided to take a brief break from rocking back and forth in the dark, crying, to point you towards this little stab of magnificence provided by Simian Mobile Disco. By now we’ve all heard a fair portion of their new LP, but a new development has arisen in the form of a lovely new HD video for new single ‘Audacity of Huge’ featuring Chris Keating. I won’t bore you with the grisly details of either the track, nor the odd rash that has appeared near my left nipple (It’s shaped like Lithuania!). Instead, I will simply post the video, which has it’s definition level set to high. Especially good news if your “bands” happen to be “broad”.
